Who We Are

Consuming Carbon Corporation (CCC) is a U.S.-incorporated climate-tech firm dedicated to reversing land degradation in Africa through bamboo afforestation, biochar innovation, and advanced carbon monetization.

Our unique approach integrates Verra-certified methodologies with next-generation digital MRV, IoT sensors, and blockchain—delivering transparent, scalable, and community-driven carbon removal. We prioritize collaborative production models, working closely with local farmer cooperatives and a growing ecosystem of industry partners.

Our Story

For over 20 years we farmed and grew bamboo, but repeated use of chemical fertilizers was harming our soil. Discovering biochar changed everything—it restores soil naturally and stores carbon for centuries.

We began using it on our own land, and saw healthier crops, stronger trees, and revived soil. We realized that if applied on a large scale, biochar could help transform degraded lands across Africa, while creating jobs and capturing carbon to fight climate change.

With deep ties in both Africa and the U.S., and experience in agriculture, business, and partnerships, we founded Consuming Carbon Corporation. Starting in Kenya, we work with local farmers and partners to regenerate land, empower communities, and sell certified carbon credits—healing the planet while building a better future.

Founded on the belief that thriving ecosystems and resilient rural economies can go hand in hand, CCC is committed to restoring Africa’s landscapes while unlocking global climate value.
